I pinned this ombre crochet basket last week and yesterday I whipped up a basket using that pattern…clearly didn’t use the ombre idea, but I wanted to make one with the yarn I had on hand.
Of course I tweaked it a bit…I used 3 strands of yarn instead of the 4 that it called for. I just happened to have 3 coordinating yarns that I wanted to use.
I love the bottom of the basket…it has a row at the bottom that really makes the start of the side very clear. Hard to explain, but it looks great and the basket sits perfectly on the bottom. Perfect for holding yarn or fat quarters or seashells!
I am linking to these great parties!
This basket looks great! Doesn't it feel great to finally make some of the things that you pinned? lol

What talent! I will have to show this to my mom. She crochets and knits all the time. She might like a new project. I found you at Blackberry Vine's Tuesday to do party. I hope you'll stop by and visit me sometime as well!
Basket looks awesome. I'll give it a go, though I'm really a beginner. Just found you through links, started at Homemaker on a Dime, got you on Foley Farm. Glad I did. I crocheted (yet to load pic to computer) dozens of coasters while in hospital, I'll post when I get butt in gear @
Lovely basket Ellen!
Thanks for linking to a Round Tuit!

I found your blog post via a linky on the Stuff & Nonsense page on Facebook :) :) This basket is really cute :) :) What kind of yarn did you use? It looks like Lily Sugar N Cream yarn or some other cotton yarn? I may have to make some for me, too :) :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)
