Stacked Wool Christmas Trees

This is a revisited post (here is my original last from last year).
I have a giant bin (if I said bins, that would seem like I am addicted to the stuff!) full of wool scraps just waiting to be made into this sort of project!  I made some of these last year, but have noticed that I sold several of them on etsy and in my craft show last weekend.
I just love how they look and I especially like that they are made from old wool sweaters.
They look rather Dr. Seuss-ish to me.
I made these a bit different this time, making them free hand without a pattern, but now I am not sure I like them as much as cutting out exactly measured circles...
although this one sure turned out well!
I am still pretty partial to the multicolored one, with all colors, not just shades of green.
And for the some reason, the short stubby one is really cute too!
Here is a picture of the ones from last year.

Oh, my, these are just adorable!!! I especially love how you can use even the tiniest pieces. I haven't had the nerve to try much sweater felting yet -- it's something I've got to try. I will definitely use this idea - thanks so much for sharing!!!
