I found these hooks on clearance at Hobby Lobby ($1.67 each), not the letters I wanted, but the hangers were cool and masculine. I have been meaning to make a coat hanger for my son’s room.
I covered the letters with burlap scrapbook paper…going for a rustic look here!
I wanted to mount the hooks to a board so there was only one place to attach to the wall. So out came my old standby, Martha Stewart metallic glaze in coffee brown. I glazed the board after I gave it a good sanding…
When the glaze was dry, I sanded it good, and then screwed and glued the hooks to the board. I got this hangman two piece hanger kit at the hardware store, attached the bar to the back of the board, and used the drywall screws to attach the second bar to the wall. This system was really easy to use and will hold up to 60#, so should be good for coats, jackets and robes.
Here it is under the Christmas tree…
I love how it turned out!
The only thing I would change about it is that I would have added a fourth hook.
I am linking up to these great parties!

Turned out great! Love the accent table in the picture, too. Found you at Suzy's Sitcom Commercial Break.
