Thrifty Treasures

For $2 I found this all wool vintage sweater with ducks pulling on a worm...I was excited to see a wool sweater with a cool design like this...
I can't wait to see what this looks like after it is felted, it is in the dryer right now!
For $1 I picked up seven different colors of wool yarn, which felts beautifully and is great colors, perfect for making flowers and leaves.
I have been looking for a large plain-ish wooden frame for a chalkboard, this one was only $1!
And these vintage chenille jammies got my attention.  I just bought the pair for the fabric for a mere $2.
The pants are huge (so lots of fabric) and there is a really cool wild glitter button to boot!
I was happy to find another vintage frame, a bit banged up but it is wooden and I have the perfect project for it...I paid $2 for the frame.
Great detail!
And the picture is a watercolor painting, kind of a neat at-sea scene.

I have a friend who felts wool and I have been with her when she has come across a "find"! I know really good ones can be few and far between. I hope the duck sweater turns out just as you hope!
I'm visiting form Nifty Thrifty Tuesday!
Have wonderful week!

I do that all the time. I buy cheap clothing for the fabric. I have made so many pillows out of old skirts. Thank you for sharing.

Cute sweater. I hope it comes out like you want it. Funny, but when I go to thrift stores I don't have much luck. Maybe I don't have the eye for seeing the gold in the mud. Smiles.
