I am always looking for
cheap different and creative ways to plant my deck containers. I live in the country and usually have no problems with wild life eating my deck container arrangements. This year has been a little different as I have deer, possums and raccoons coming to the deck, I think to drink from my water fountains, very dry year, and we are so far behind on rain.
I dug most of these plants up out of the edge of my yard where I
dump carefully plant the summer containers so that the perennials will be there for me next year.
This is how this arrangement started out. Yup, just stacked pots, each one is leaning on the inside back of the pot underneath it. I bought all five pots (never used, brand new) in a pile at an auction for $2! I had been seeing a lot of painting clay pots projects on Pinterest and thought I would give it a try. Well, mine were different than I imagined, but I thought they would look good stacked up.
Here’s an early picture, the pots still show a great deal. I used leftover spray paints to color them.
And here it is today…it’s hard to even see the pots now!
I am linking to these great parties!
