A Different Pincushion

I found this little glass and metal dish at a thrift store.  I had been looking for something like this to make the base for a pincushion~~I had seen a similar one somewhere and thought it was so cute!
I had to use wool (of course) somehow in this project (could be because I have tubs of wool sitting around begging to be used).
I had a sleeve leftover from making a cupcake pincushion and used the cuff to make this pincushion.  I just gathered the top and the bottom of the cuff and stuffed it.
Now, is that cute or what?  It is a tad lopsided, but somehow that adds to the charm of it.
The sweater was a sort of paisley print lambswool cardigan, I like how it looks like a muted print.
You can see the paisleys in the picture below.
I paid 50 cents for the glass/metal dish.  The rest of the supplies I had on hand.
I glued a grey rolled felted wool rose to the top to cover up the place where I gathered it.
I am really liking it....

Very, pretty. I really like the colors of the piece you chose!!

Wool is supposed to prevent pins from rusting.
