This is my beautiful sister Sarah, clutching my dyed blue wool yarn, trying to convince me to let her have it...Please note in the second picture who has the blue yarn. Yes, me, I managed to keep it from Sarah! Sarah came for a whole weekend plus and we had many projects to complete while she was there...some we finished, some we didn't even get to.
Sarah brought the hardware and the pattern to make these really neat market baskets with an interchangeable liner.
There were several stages in making these baskets, well all I am saying is that it wasn't simplest thing I have ever made...but the end result was very rewarding!
The blue one is mine and the maroon one is hers...

Aren't they lovely? I can't wait to take mine to the farmers market!
The fabric is attached with velcro strips and the sides are held up with hard plastic stays in fabric pockets to keep the sides standing up... Please notice how nice they look sitting on my "new" garden bench! (See the project here-- http://ellenscreativepassage.blogspot.com/2009/09/10-garden-bench.html)

You and Sarah must have had a blast at your craft-o-rama! You are both such good shoppers and crafters. I love the jack-o-lantern, too. He has a lot of personality.

Those are really great! Perfect for the farmer's market.
You are so going to enjoy your market basket! I've had mine for over a year now and use it more than any tote or carrier that I've ever had. Yours, of course, is much prettier than mine. Maybe one day, I'll attempt to make one like yours.
Wow! Beautiful! Good work.
Those are wonderful looking!!
I love this type of basket!!!! Too cool that you were able to make your own!
What a great project! I was just eyeing one of those at the store the other day.
