Birds Nest Pins

I made this felted wool birds nest a few months ago...and wanted to make some smaller ones as pins.  Last night I finished seven of them!
I do some of my best work in the wee hours of the morning...
Not sure what kind of eggs these might be, but I thought they were still cute!
I am calling these robins' eggs
I put a leaf on the back of the birds nest...
I think they are really cute and will be great pinned to a jacket or a felt purse!
or a felted bowl!
I used a tweedy looking brown felted sweater for the nests and made them like the rolled flowers.
Then I just nestled the wet felted "eggs" into the center of the flower shape.

    Love your new purse - that is way too cute! Just the right time of the year here in the south to make the change to something like this...

    Also -- I just noticed that you live in Columbia, MO. My son, Dan, is a broadcaster at KMMO out of Marshal, MO. I visited him this past weekend and drove right by Columbia. I would love to get together with you sometime and go out for ice cream or something the next time I'm driving through.

    Is that something you might like to do? It will probably some time off, as I've just returned from visiting him. I live just on the other side of St. Louis in Collinsville, IL
